Porcelain glaze is covered with many small and fine cracks, sparse and dense, thick and thin, long and short, twisted and straight, resembling patterns shaped like a cracked, crabby or icy crack, which is known as cracked glaze; the main reason for this formation is that the coefficient of expansion of the glaze is greater than that of the glaze body, and during the cooling process of firing, the glaze is subjected to greater tensile stress, resulting in the formation of numerous cracks.
